Federal Grants
- Federal Pell Grant - This grant is a federal grant awarded to students with significant financial need, as measured by a congressionally established need-analysis formula which measures a family's ability to pay for educational expenses. Students apply for this grant by completing the federal government's Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
- We want to alert you to a recent change in the law that affects Federal Pell Grant eligibility. This change limits the total number of years a student may receive a Pell Grant to the equivalent of six years. You still may be eligible for other federal, state, and institutional financial aid. For information on how we calculate the "equivalent of six years" please visit: www.studentaid.ed.gov/pell-limit
- Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (SEOG) - This federal grant is awarded by the institution to students with exceptional financial need, with Federal Pell Grant recipients given first priority. Students who complete the FAFSA and have exceptional financial need are automatically considered for this grant.
