NC
State encourages currently enrolled
students with outstanding academic records to search and apply for external
funding opportunities. The NCSU Fellowship Office
is available to provide assistance and advising.
Outside Scholarships – NC State encourages students to search
for scholarships offered by agencies not affiliated with the University. Many
organizations offer awards based on place of residence, background,
professional affiliations and/or field of study. Students should search and
apply for outside scholarships independently. There are many free online
scholarships search sites. In addition, book listings are available in
bookstores and libraries. You should provide a copy of each award notice to
the Office of Scholarships & Financial Aid to ensure that funds are available
in a timely manner. Scholarship Checks from outside donors should be sent to
the Office of Scholarships & Financial Aid for disbursement to the student.
Scholarship funds will be equally divided between the Fall and Spring
semesters, unless otherwise requested by the scholarship donor or indicated as
a single semester disbursement. If your scholarship donor requires an Invoice, Verification of Enrollment
or Unofficial Transcript, please complete the Scholarship Notification Form
available at our Forms and Publications section by clicking
here.
