ACS Data Extracts - Overview
Administrative Computing Services (ACS) provides a "data warehouse" of
information, in the form of data extracts, which can be used to answer many of the
day-to-day business questions of the university. These data extracts are maintained in
Sybase tables and views on the acs_dds server. The data in the tables and
views is periodically refreshed from data on the university's mainframe legacy systems.
Authorized users can access this information for inquiry, reporting, ad hoc queries, and
other information gathering using a number of decision support tools.

FAS
Data Extracts - a list of data extract views, available for query on data from the
Financial Accounting System (FAS). Financial information includes amounts and transactions
for budgets, receipts, disbursements, encumbrances, adjustments, and commitments.
APPS

Data Extracts - a list of data extract views, available for query on data from the
Personnel and Payroll Systems (PICS/PPPC). Human resource information includes position,
personnel, compensation, payroll, benefit, and other demographic information.
Recruiting Data
Extracts - prospective student demographic, placement, ranking, testing, and other
recruiting information.
Admissions
Data Extracts - application and general, undergraduate, and graduate admission
information.
Registration
Data Extracts - courses, class rolls, student schedules, address, and other
registration information.
Graduate Students - Graduate Automated Records System (GARS)
information about current and previously enrolled graduate students.
Student Loans - ACS developed
queries for the Student Loan Ledger. Access to the queries is limited.
