When will I get my financial aid?
Because financial aid can only be disbursed to enrolled students, the University is not allowed to disburse any financial aid prior to the first day of class each semester/term. The Cashier's Office processes the first financial aid direct deposit batch for the semester prior to the first day of class. That allows financial aid to be posted to the student's checking account on the first day of class. You may enroll in direct deposit by logging into MyPack Portal. Select "Student Self Service", "Campus Finances", "Account Summary", and "Direct Deposit". Enter the routing and account number information and click "Add/Update Bank Info".

What do I need to do to keep my schedule from being canceled if I'm waiting for my financial aid?
Financial Aid/Scholarship/Sponsored students should remit the balance in "Pay This Amount" to avoid registration cancellation.

What if my financial aid amount is greater than the balance due on my account?
Financial aid applied to a student's account that exceeds the amount of qualified charges will be refunded back to the student. The refund amount is the difference between the award amount and the debt applied. Students may use the refunded amount to pay for expenses as needed.

Where will I receive my financial aid refund check?
You will receive your financial aid check at your home/mailing address. If you have signed up for direct deposit by the deadline for the current semester then the check will be deposited into your bank account.

What if the Total Estimated Financial Aid indicated on my eBILL does not cover my balance in full?
If you do not have enough approved financial aid to cover your account balance, you need to send in payment for the portion not covered by financial aid. If payment is not received by the due date, your schedule will be subject to cancellation.

What if I get my eBILL and my financial aid has not been approved?
If you do not have approved financial aid, you need to pay your balance by the due date. If you are later granted financial aid, you will be reimbursed when your financial aid is applied to your student account.

Who do I need to contact when I am having problems with my student loans or other financial aid?
The Financial Aid Office will know the status of your pending aid. You can visit them at 2016 Harris Hall or call them at (919) 515-2421.
