Graduate
You are responsible for full payment of tuition, fees, and all other debts to the University and for clearing all "Holds" before the payment deadline. Failure to pay tuition, fees and all other debts to the University and to clear all "Holds" may result in your schedule being cancelled. NOTE: IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO PAY EVEN IF YOU DO NOT RECEIVE A BILL. A copy of your schedule will be mailed to you at your University Correspondence address approximately one week prior to the first day of classes. This schedule is valid only if you are academically eligible to attend the next semester. Students are responsible for dropping any course they do not plan to attend

Deferred Payments
Deferred payments or installment payments are not allowed during the summer sessions. Full payment of tuition and fees is due on the due date indicated.
Financial Aid Scholarship/Sponsorship Recipients
Follow the instructions on the statement of tuition and fees and return the postcard by the due date
Special Registrations and Fees
- Audits - There are no free audits in the summer sessions. Audit courses are charged the same rate as if the courses were for credit.
- Cooperative Education Program Fee - $338
- College of Engineering Computer Fee. This fee is an additional fee that is not included in the regular tuition and fees rate. Students enrolled in the College of Engineering (including the BE, BEA, BEE, BEM, BAE and BEP) are charged $15 per summer session for undergraduates and $20 per summer session for graduates.
- Each department offering graduate programs has scheduled "XYZ" 696 and/or "XYZ" 896 in the Ten-Week Session (where "XYZ" is the departmental abbreviation). Each of these Thesis and Dissertation Research courses carry one credit hour. Tuition and Fees are $177 for Residents of NC and $303 for Non-Residents. Students registered in one of these categories are not permitted to register for any other courses during the same session.
Notes
- A statement for your tuition, fees and other outstanding debts will be mailed to each student who registers during the Registration Period. If you failed to receive a statement, you may fill out the Cashier's Office Payment form. It is the responsibility of each student, whether they receive a statement or not, to make full payment and clear all "holds" or complete financial assistance information by May 6, 2004 for Summer Session I and June 17, 2004 for Summer Session II at the 5:00pm deadline or their schedules will be cancelled.
- All students paying tuition and fees are entitled to University services, facilities and programs. Students are entitled to the services, facilities, and programs offered by the Student Center, Health Services, Transportation Office, Physical Education Department, and Athletics Department. An itemization of required fees can be provided upon request. Required fees must be paid by all students.
- Upon adding course work that results in an increased rate, students will be billed during the next Cashier's Office billing cycle. Refunds resulting from courses dropped will be mailed to the student's university correspondence address.
IMPORTANT REMINDER: Dropping all courses for which you are registered constitutes withdrawing from the university. The tuition and fees charge is based on students' classification, residency and the official number of hours and courses carried at 5:00 pm on May 26, 2004 for Summer Session I and July 8, 2004 for Summer Session II. Refunds resulting from a withdrawal will be mailed to the students' university correspondence address.
- Returned Checks: A returned check fee of $25 will be assessed for dishonored checks. The University has the right to cancel the registration of any student whose tuition and fees are paid with a "Returned" check.
- All students registering during the Late Registration period will be charged a $35.00 non-refundable processing fee. Any students requesting to register after the last day to add a course(s),May 26, 2004 for Summer Session I and July 8, 2004 for Summer Session II will be charged a $100.00 Late Registration fee.
