Home Tuition and Fees Refunds Refunds for Reduction in Hours
Refunds for Reduction in Hours
The last day to reduce hours, or drop individual courses for a tuition adjustment is the same as the last day to register, add courses without departmental approval, drop a course or change to Audit. Typically this is the 10th day of classes in Fall or Spring and 3rd day of classes for Summer sessions. Courses dropped after this date are not eligible for a tuition adjustment or refund.
The last day to drop a course with a refund or reduction in rates (Census Date) is:
Fall 2007 September 5, 2007
Spring 2008 January 23, 2008
Summer Session I and Ten Week Summer Session 2008 May 21, 2008
Summer Session II 2008 July 10, 2008
Note: Financial Aid Recipients should talk to a Financial Aid Counselor before reducing hours to less than full time status. Students receiving funds awarded by the Office of Scholarships & Financial Aid should be aware of policies regarding change in status as they will likely result in an adjustment to your award and/or a required repayment of some or all of the funds disbursed to you.
DROPPING ALL THE COURSES FOR WHICH YOU ARE REGISTERED AFTER THE START OF THE SEMESTER REQUIRES OFFICIAL WITHDRAWAL FROM THE UNIVERSITY. (See Refund for Withdrawal)
By using direct deposit, you can have your student account refunds deposited directly into your checking account. You can find out how to sign up for direct deposit online at http://www.fis.ncsu.edu/cashier/billing/fadd.asp.
