North Carolina State University offers Pre-College programs in a variety of academic disciplines - each aimed at helping students prepare for college while experiencing NC State life.
Programs are available for elementary, middle, and high school students.

NC-MSEN Summer Scholars Program
The application deadline for the NC-MSEN Summer Scholars Program has been extended!
The NC State University NC-MSEN Pre-College Program offers a 2-week summer program on NC State’s campus. The program provides classes in math, science, and technology for middle and high school students, and a class in cultural awareness (for middle school students only). The main focus of the program is to prepare students for the math course they are taking in the fall. Students are grouped together according to their current math class (from the 2007-08 school year). Middle school students must attend the full-day program while high school students have the option to attend for a half-day or a full-day. Students must have a grade point average of 2.5 or higher to participate in this program.
Dates: July 7, 2008 – July 18, 2008
Deadline: Application deadline has been extended until program is full.
Cost: $200.00

The Shelton Leadership Challenge Institute is currently recruiting students for this summer!
This residential program will be held at NC State University on July 28-August 1.
Applications are due by July 11.
The Shelton Leadership Challenge Institute is a residential program for rising 9th – 12th graders with a grade point average of 3.0 or better. The program is an intense week experience for youth who are current leaders and aspire to be greater leaders in the future. Participants will explore areas of values-based leadership, integrity, team building, public speaking, and social responsibility.
