GRADUATE ASSISTANCE IN AREAS OF NATIONAL NEED (GAANN)
FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM
AT NORTH CAROLINA STATE UNIVERSITY
The U.S. Department of Education Graduate Assistance in Areas of National Need (GAANN) Fellowship Program at North Carolina State University supports graduate students who are pursuing Ph.D.'s in the areas of Molecular Biotechnology, Computational Science, and Electronic Materials. Since 1989, the U.S. Department of Education has awarded 118 Fellowships to NC State in the area of Electronic Materials, and since 1994, 64 Fellowships in Biotechnology and 48 in Computational Science.
The purpose of this web site is to provide current and potential GAANN Fellows with information on the administrative procedures and requirements associated with the fellowship program. In addition, Directors of Graduate Programs and GAANN advisors will find printable nomination materials and evaluation forms.
