Linda R. Daniel
Department of Poultry Science
Research Analyst
Linda has facilitated the development of major therapeutic technologies and the development of web-based methods that enhance faculty productivity. She has done this voluntarily, at her own suggestion, and she often uses her personal time to develop her ideas. Her contributions all speak to the future of the manner in which the university must function -- more efficiently with the use of fewer resources. She has also served as our Departmental SPA representative to the Department Head and has been proactive in helping implement measures to protect the safety and security of individuals and university resources.
Juan Francisco
University Housekeeping
Administrator
Juan defies what is considered status quo and looks outside the box, constantly seeking and finding solutions and answers that so many employees never find. Juan's selfless act of helping wherever needed has enabled him to assist in translating for numerous employees, supervisor and other unit personnel. Juan has bridged the communication gap when translators were in short supply and saved the unit hundreds of dollars in translation fees. Juan is a champion in the arena of identifying and remedying mold. During a carpet cleaning training exercise, Juan observed some employees were leaving an unhealthy amount of water while cleaning the carpet. Without hesitation, he conducted training sessions with all his employees and demonstrated the correct extraction method to reduce the proliferation of mold. His effort resulted in improved indoor air quality, increase carpet lifespan, and carpet replacement funds retention. Congratulations Juan.
