Process for Taxation of Non-wage Compensation
Description
An employee is provided free on-campus parking.
This will appear on the employee’s paycheck as:
Employee’s Responsibility:
- The employee has no responsibility to the University.
Transportation Department’s Responsibility:
- Provide a memo or spreadsheet to University Payroll at the end of each quarter, with the following information:
- Employee Name
- Employee ID number
- Value of Complimentary Parking
- Pay Cycle (Bi-weekly or Monthly)
