GoPass!
Travel the Triangle FREE with GoPass! (formerly known as U-Pass)
Two program changes:
* Name change from U-Pass to GoPass
* GoPass now requires riders to swipe a GoPass card to ride for free (versus showing the bus operator a valid NCSU ID - the GoPass card is free).
Routine riders of Capital Area Transit (CAT) and Triangle Transit (TT) will need to pick up a GoPass (swipe card) at the Transportation office, 2721 Sullivan Drive (bring your Campus ID). We expect to have our supply of GoPass cards by early August, but please give us a call first before stopping by. We also expect to have a form on the web soon which you may fill out to make the distribution process a little quicker - please visit the GoPass website if you'd like to complete the online paperwork www.ncsu.edu/gopass
Remember:
* GoPass is free to all current NC State students, faculty and staff with valid ID's.
* Renew yearly at the beginning of each academic year.
* Valid NCSU student, faculty and staff ID's will continue to be accepted for free transit rides on CAT and TT until August 26, 2009.
* You don't have to give up your parking permit to obtain a GoPass.
* You don't have to be a WolfTrails participant to get a GoPass (WolfTrails is NCSU's Transportation Alternatives Program which encompasses walking, bicycling, carpooling, etc., and offers incentives to campus community members who choose a travel option rather than the single occupancy vehicle - visit www.ncsu.edu/wolftrails to learn more about this program). Questions about WolfTrails? Please contact Torsha Bhattacharya, torsha_bhattacharya@ncsu.edu
* GoPass has nothing to do with Wolfline ridership; nothing is required to ride Wolfline except catch Wolfline at designated bus stops.
