Description of Service
The WolfCopy department provides HP Laser Jet printers for
use in many public computing labs on campus. To locate a printer, please see the list of Publicly Available Printers. All users with Unity computing accounts may use WolfCopy printers. WolfCopy
provides paper and toner for these printers and is also responsible
for the routine maintenance and repairs.
WolfCopy has partnered with The Office of Information Technology to provide a service known
as WolfPrint that charges a Unity user's quota account for each printed page.
WolfCopy uses this revenue
to cover the cost of paper, toner, maintenance, and repairs.
All users with a Unity computing account are automatically setup with a WolfPrint print quota account. The WolfPrint system electronically deducts
printing charges from this account each time a print job is sent. Users must have a WolfPrint Quota Account balance of greater than $0
before sending any print job to WolfCopy printers.
Each Unity lab is equipped with at least one black & white printer. Some labs also have color printers. Printing on a black and white printer costs $0.06 per page. Color printing, where available, costs $0.25 per page.
To print from a Unity lab workstation, you must first purchase print quota, which you can buy online with a credit card. You can purchase a minimum of $5.00 and a maximum of $100.00 of print quota in one transaction. Purchases can be made using a credit/debit card bearing a Visa or Mastercard logo.
If you are unable to process an online transaction, you may be able to get a temporary IOU for print quota. See What are the terms of an IOU? for details. To find out how much quota you have left, use the Quota Details tool.
Visit the WolfPrint home page to learn more about printing in Unity labs and WolfPrint Quota FAQ for answers to other frequently asked questions.
