Print Your Own Books with the Espresso Book Machine

The Espresso Book Machine® (EBM) is a state-of-the-art book-making machine, about the size of your normal copy machine that automatically prints, binds, and trims --on demand-- library-quality paperback books with glossy full color covers that are indistinguishable from their factory made versions. The EBM will produce a 300 page book in about 4 minutes while you're watching.

NC State Bookstores is proud to be one of the first Universities to own an Espresso Book Machine.   From custom made course materials to family cook books, the EBM machine provides a wealth of opportunity to the entire NC State community. 

Endless Possibilities

Think of the Espresso Book Machine as a fully self contained printing press.  The possibilities of what you can print are endless. The only current limitation is that internal pages can only be printed in black & white.  Here are some ideas:

We encourage you to explore the never ending ideas.  Use your creativity and have fun!  If your work can be saved as an Adobe PDF file or Microsoft Word document and can fit within a 4.5" by 4.5" to 8.25" by 10.5" page, the EBM can produce your book.
