The mission of the Office of Information Technology Organizational Resilience unit is to ensure the following:

• Minimal risk of major disruptions to critical University systems and processes.
  
  
• Timely recovery of infrastructure and services in the event of a disruption.
  
  
• Viable contingency plans for the university information technology environment.

The goal of Information Technology resiliency is to provide flexible, highly available IT services to the NC State University community.

The University's obligation to its major stakeholders requires that we develop and implement an Information Technology Organizational Resilience Plan (ITORP) to ensure that the risk of major disruptions to critical University processes have been mitigated. The ITORP will endeavor to support all mission critical services that may be impacted by the loss of central computing and communications. A critical component of the ITORP will be the development of viable individual resilience plans for critical University offices and services which will help ensure that the gap between the loss of IT services and recovery of normal business operations is minimized.
