The DAVC Team will assess the return on investment and value add of the project being submitted before an approval will given. If approved, the DAVC Team will notify the PMO of the approval, dates to be performed, priority, assign the project manager, and any assumptions or constraints that they may feel are necessary and contingent to the approval. There are two denied status categories: 1 - denied requesting further information, and 2 - denied with an explanation / reason. If the project is denied pending further information, a request date will be supplied along with the details of the information requested. On the rare occasion that a project has a designated killpoint, the denial pending further information will state a reason and upcoming deadline for the killpoint. The PMO will then record the project, assist the PM with crafting the Charter and Preliminary Scope Statement, notify the Submittor (if not the Project Manager), and provide the PM with any and all necessary assistance to start planning the project. |
