LDS 022 Introduction To Leadership    (Core Workshop) This workshop has been rescheduled for 2/12/04

You will gain practical knowledge of leadership fundamentals essential to becoming an effective leader. You will learn to think and verbalize important leadership principals and techniques. You will learn a number of practical leadership/management concepts of principals that you can begin immediately. You will learn about the most powerful force in your life and how it relates to your leadership. Imagine that you are having an interview with your future boss and he/she asks these questions: What is Leadership? How do you lead another person or group of people? Where does you leadership take place and with whom? What does it take to be a really effective leader? If the thought of responding to these questions makes you feel a bit uncomfortable then this workshop is for you. To be an effective leader, you must have basic understanding of leadership and be able to verbalize it effectively.

LDS 140 Speak Out On Diversity

If you are looking for and opportunity to engage in a vivid discussion on diversity, this is the workshop for you. Attendees will participate in interactive exercises and role play case studies. LDS 154 Motivating Your Team

Kouzes and Posner define leadership as "The art of mobilizing others to want to struggle for shared aspirations."
