We're glad you're interested in applying to NC State and look forward to receiving your application for undergraduate admission. The application is part of WolfPAW, your NC State Personal Admissions Website. Through WolfPAW you can also:

We strongly encourage everyone to apply online. You can start the application, save your work, and later go back to review your work and make changes before submitting your application.

We no longer offer the application in print form and are unable to send copies by mail. Paper applications are often submitted with significant errors or omissions, causing delays in processing. A PDF version of the application is available on the WolfPAW website for those who find a printed copy is absolutely necessary.

Applications can be reviewed for an admission decision only after all required items have been received.

A complete freshman application file will include:

• Application for admission
• $70 non-refundable application fee (College Board Fee Waivers accepted only for freshman applicants when signed by your school counselor)
• Current high school transcript, including a list of senior year courses in progress, cumulative grade point average, and rank in class (if applicable)
• Official SAT or ACT scores (including scores for the Writing section) sent directly from the testing agency

A complete transfer application file will include:

• Application for admission
• $70 non-refundable application fee
• Final high school transcript
• Official transcripts from each college attended, sent directly from the registrar
• A list of current college courses in progress (if applicable)

Helpful Hint: Each year right before our deadlines we receive a flood of last-minute applications. Since we process applications in the order in which they are received, applying early can mean hearing back from us much sooner if we find something is missing from your application.
